Frequently Asked Questions
Which plants can I use this for?
Does it make a lot of noise?
The humidifier is very silent and produces noise only in the level of 30 dB. As an ultrasonic humidifier it only uses vibrations and you can barely notice when it's on.
How often does it need to be refilled?
Depending on how long you run it, the humidifier lasts up to 10 hours on a single tank refill.
How long does the delivery take?
The standard shipping time to US is currently 10 days, with handling time 1 - 3 business days.
Can you use tap water with this humidifier?
Yes, this humidifier works the best with tap water only.
Should I leave my humidifier on at all times?
Humidifier should be used every day but does not need to run at all times. The best time to run a humidifier for your plants is in the morning between sunrise and midday, but not late in the evening or at night. Too much moisture at night can disrupt your plants’ natural transpiration process. Simply turn it on in the morning and shut off at lunchtime, or put it on a 2-4 hr auto shut off timer.
Where to place humidifier for plants? How close next to the plant does it have to be?
Humidifier should be placed between your plants or on a shelf in close proximity to the plants. Do not let the mist to go directly on the leaves of the plants as this will create water film over the leaves and invite mold and fungus to build up. If you want to find the best spot for your humidifier, you can also use a humidity meter and measure on which location it has the best impact on humidity levels.
Do humidity trays work better than a humidifier?
Humidity trays will certainly help to increase humidity levels, but they are not as effective as a plant humidifier.
When should I use a humidifier for my plants
For best results run it every day in the morning hours. You can use an automated timer or shut it off manually around lunchtime.
